Best / Correct Way to Install Windows for Optimum Performance

When installing a clean install of Windows it is important to install Software and Drivers in the Correct Order.
If using a brand new unformatted hard disk it is highly recommened that you could a Full NTFS format before installing windows. Which will be prompted them you install the Windows XP CD.
If you have had Windows or Data on the harddisk previously it is normally fine to use the NFTS quick install.
Once windows has installed i would recommend installing components in this order.
1. Install your motherboard chipset drivers, normally available from your motherboard manufacturers website.
2.Install all Windows Updates using the Update procedure
3. Once this is done i would highly recommend installing directx and its relevant updates from the Microsoft Website.
4.Then you can go ahead and install your graphics card drivers
5. Then proceed to install all additional periphirals e.g. Souncard, Addition Drivers

Once this is done your windows should be functioning perfectly and you can then go ahead and install all the software and transfer all files you want on the computer.
